Why a Luau?

A luau is a traditional Hawaiian party or feast that is accompanied by entertainment.  While the thought of a luau often bring to mind the image of a warm beach, flower leis, and mai tais, the true heart of a luau is the sense of community, sharing, and celebration.

Lakewood Cooperative Preschool is rooted in community and in deep acts of sharing, which makes the luau a perfect way to celebrate. While we may not be able to bring you the warm beaches of Hawaii,  we can promise a fun-filled, luau-themed party that's perfect for celebrating our community, complete with food, entertainment, and the occasional plastic lei or grass skirt.
